About The Position
Caris Healthcare’s Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients according to physician orders. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient. The nurse works with patients, families, partners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, serves as a patient advocate, and supports caregivers through education. The position also supervises aides and licensed practical nurses and participates in a rotating on-call schedule.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
- Nursing experience is required.
- Must possess sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and elements of patient and family teaching.

Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient symptoms using required software.
- Collaborate with patients, families, partners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care.
- Advocate for patients by providing information about patient rights, grievance procedures, reimbursement procedures, and patient and family responsibilities.
- Observe and evaluate patients’ physical and emotional status, safety factors, and family dynamics to determine caregiver education needs.
- Supervise, evaluate, and direct aides and licensed practical nurses in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide backup assistance as requested.
