About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position in their Freestanding Emergency Room in Clarksville, working the midshift. This role requires a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to be responsible for patient care assessment, direction, and supervision within the clinic setting, reporting to the Physician. Requirements

  • LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
  • Less than 1 year of experience

  • Knowledge of bio psychosocial and spiritual aspects of human behavior ranging from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Mechanism must be provided for contact of employee (i.e., cell phone, telephone, emergency contact).

Responsibilities

  • Administering patient care within the scope of training and expertise.
  • Collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.

  • Delivering clinical practice utilizing standards of practice and in accordance with the hospitals mission & vision.

  • Maintaining flexibility in schedule to meet the needs of patients, community, and staff.
  • Participating in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining licensure, required certification, and annual education requirements.
  • Demonstrating professional behavior with a positive outlook.
  • Knowledge and implementation of standardized PPE regarding the prevention/transmission of infectious disease/isolation processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
