About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to oncology and hematology patients in an infusion setting. Care includes initial nursing evaluations, development and ongoing implementation of care plans, and education and counseling for patients and families. The role requires strong communication and collaboration with physicians, coworkers, and internal and external departments and agencies to optimize patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current Massachusetts nursing license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Five years of infusion RN experience in a medical oncology and hematology department.
- Proficient IV skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Current or past certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN, AOCN, CPON), or currently working toward OCN certification.
- Outpatient experience.
Responsibilities
