About The Position

As an RN at Recovery Centers of America (RCA), you will be a vital part of a team dedicated to guiding patients toward lasting recovery from substance use disorders. RCA prioritizes personalized, evidence-based treatment. This role involves conducting intake assessments, providing individualized patient care through comprehensive assessments and tailored care plans, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, educating patients and families about addiction and treatment, monitoring patient progress with accurate documentation, and fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • An active RN license in [state]
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it during orientation.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the capacity to safely administer medications and proficiency in effectively managing medical and behavioral health emergencies such as suicide ideation and aggression.
  • Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders and DSM criteria and terminology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
  • All employees must follow organizational cybersecurity policies, including acceptable use, password management, and multi-factor authentication requirements.
  • They immediately report suspected security incidents, unauthorized access, or data breaches in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements and maintain strict confidentiality of PHI and adhere to the principle of least privilege, accessing only the minimum necessary data required to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
  • Provide individualized care by conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to coordinate holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on the nature of mental health disorders, the disease of addiction and the need for treatment.
  • Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate, confidential documentation.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.
