About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) Radiology Care Unit (RCU) Full-time. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104. Magnet-designated regional referral center that has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930. Work hours: Full Time 40 hours per week, (4) 10-hour shifts 6:00AM-4:30PM or 7:30AM-6PM, Monday-Friday, with self-scheduled call requirements. Call is within 1-hour for this department. Radiology Care Unit Department highlights: Self-Scheduling of call that helps with work/life balance. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. Outpatient Interventional Radiology & CT Pre-Op and Recovery and Inpatient anesthesia recovery.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 6 months Required.
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
Experience as a PACU/Recovery, ED or ICU RN Highly Preferred
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process:
RN functions in many different job roles such as but not limited to: outpatient Interventional Radiology (IR) and Computed Tomography (CT) pre-op, outpatient IR and CT recovery, inpatient IR anesthesia recovery.
Float to CT for procedures needing moderate sedation, pre-procedure phone calls and order entry for IR and CT outpatients, and Albumin administrations.
