About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) works full-time on the third shift in the BHCOR-Cor Chem Dependency Unit in Corbin, KY. This unit is a 15-bed acute medical detox unit for patients with a primary Chemical Dependency diagnosis, specializing in adult detoxification and treatment for ages 18 and older. The role utilizes an interdisciplinary treatment team approach. The RN performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills based on psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences. They use high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, adhering to established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. The Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering care and physician orders, documenting accurately, educating patients and families, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes. The RN also demonstrates critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, and compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and continuing education standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required.
  • Current Kentucky RN license or Kentucky work permit required.
  • Associate degree required.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire.
