About The Position
This role provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The Registered Nurse supervises staff to whom appropriate care is delegated and supports the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate from a state-approved or accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice, or policy.
- CPR.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
- Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
- Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care.
- Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
- Fulfill Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed during emergencies or disasters.
- Know the Hospital’s emergency codes, including their purposes and appropriate actions, and follow Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
- Perform related duties as required.
