About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality geriatric nursing care in a long-term care and rehabilitation environment. The RN will deliver direct patient care, oversee nursing staff, coordinate interdisciplinary care plans, and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for residents. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, including weekend coverage and alternating weekly hours.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
  • Active Arizona RN license required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required
  • TB two-step screening required
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination required
  • Previous RN experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing practices and patient care planning
  • Experience supervising and supporting nursing staff
  • Ability to assess changing patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work weekends and follow block scheduling requirements
  • Ability to work alternating 36-hour and 48-hour weeks

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed within scope of practice
  • Assess, monitor, and document residents’ physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions
  • Complete admission assessments and assist with development of MDS assessments and individualized care plans
  • Participate in shift reports and communicate resident needs with interdisciplinary team members
  • Provide leadership and supervision to LPNs and CNAs as assigned
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, eating, and personal hygiene
  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation regarding assessments, treatments, and resident progress
  • Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Participate in staff education, training, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support infection control and patient safety practices
  • Utilize continuous process improvement methods and team-based care approaches
  • Respond promptly and effectively during emergency situations
