About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its adult psychiatric services. Registered nurses provide care for patients with mental health needs, educate patients about mental and medical conditions, and offer advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members. The role includes running therapeutic groups and providing psychiatric crisis intervention, including seclusion and restraint when needed. RNs record patients’ medical histories and symptoms, help perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatments and medications, and assist with follow-up and rehabilitation. They also teach patients and families how to manage illness or injury, including diet and exercise programs, self-administration of medication, and physical therapy. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team processes, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
