As a Registered Nurse, you will be a respected patient advocate and clinical expert, performing all aspects of the nursing process. Your responsibilities will include facilitation, communication, assessment, intervention, education, planning, and providing comprehensive nursing care for patients, families, and significant others. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, supervise others providing care, and communicate with multidisciplinary team members about patient conditions. You will also perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate direction or supervision, act as a patient/customer advocate, and represent Redeemer Health by meeting patient/family needs throughout their hospital experience. As a professional, you will assist in the development of new staff nurses and the future development of the nursing profession. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Registered licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • BSN completed, or attained within 3 years of hire
  • IV skills
  • BLS certification required
  • Must be available for alternate shift work
  • Must meet satisfactory completion of orientation and competency validation within probationary period
  • Registered licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certification preferred
  • ACLS in specialty areas (L&D, ED, ICU, PACU, ACU, CVC – required within 6 months)
  • NRP (NICU, LDR, MIU, Nursery – required within 6 months)
  • PALS (ED, PACU 0 required within 6 months)
  • Fetal monitor certification preferred for LDR (required within 1 to 2 years based on experience)
  • 8 hours annual stroke education and NIH certification for Telemetry RNs
  • 8 hours annual stroke education and NIH certification for ED and ICCU RNs
  • One hour annual stroke education for Nurses not assigned to stroke units such as Medical Surgical and Obstetric nurses

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the nursing process under the Professional Nursing Law.
  • Facilitate, communicate, assess, intervene, educate, plan, and provide comprehensive nursing care for patients, families, and significant others.
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care and supervise others providing this care.
  • Communicate with multidisciplinary team members about changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate direction or supervision.
  • Act as a patient/customer advocate and an HRHS representative meeting patient/family needs throughout the hospital experience.
  • Assist in the development of new staff nurses and the future development of the nursing profession.
