About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Orthopedic and Medical Surgical unit in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The nurse provides patient-centered care, manages a patient load, and uses teamwork strategies. The unit has 30 orthopedic beds and 37 medical-surgical beds, with typical patient ratios of 6:1. Patient Care Technicians and Surgical Nurses serve in tech roles, and unit secretaries support day shifts. Documentation is completed in Meditech. Schedules are created monthly. Full-time staff are required to work four weekend shifts per month. Staff may float to various inpatient units and assist with tasks in the Critical Care Unit and Emergency Department. Candidates of all experience levels are welcome to apply, though at least two years of nursing experience is preferred. The dress code requires a scrub top and scrub bottoms. Long-sleeve shirts may be worn under the scrub top, and scrub jackets are allowed. Fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweaters, shoes with holes, denim, and camouflage are not permitted. Requirements
- Current RN license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work hard.
- Ability to manage a patient load.
