About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Acute Care position is located at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC, on the 2nd Floor of the Adult Acute Care - Med Surg: IU unit. This 61-bed unit specializes in the care of orthopedic and stroke patients, serving a diverse population with a broad range of medical conditions and surgical needs. It is a fast-paced environment that offers a dynamic setting for nurses to develop strong clinical skills while managing a variety of patient cases. This unit is ideal for nurses who enjoy a high level of activity, adaptability, and the opportunity to care for a wide spectrum of patient populations. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • At least 1 year of RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
