About The Position

IU Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, specialized care in an outpatient OBGYN clinic. The role supports patients throughout pregnancy, surgery preparation, and recovery, with a focus on building meaningful patient relationships. This is a PRN day-shift position with no weekends, holidays, or call. Applicants must have at least one year of RN experience. Upcoming and recent nursing graduates are directed to apply through IU Health’s nurse graduate pipeline requisition.

Requirements

At least one year of RN experience.
Associate of Nursing (ASN) degree.
Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates without this may be considered if they have more than two years of relevant clinical experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Other advanced life support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient-care policies.
Awareness and understanding of the legal implications of patient-care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
New hires must receive required vaccinations, including influenza and COVID-19, unless an exemption is approved; proof of previous vaccination may be submitted.

Responsibilities

Perform and interpret non-stress tests.
Administer vaccines.
Provide prenatal education.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative teaching.
Manage telephone triage.
Assess patients without face-to-face interaction when required.
Perform patient-care activities in accordance with the legal responsibilities of a Registered Nurse.
