About The Position

Exceptional Care for Children (ECC) is seeking passionate Registered Nurses to join their healthcare team. ECC is Delaware's first and only pediatric skilled nursing facility, providing 24/7 skilled nursing support to medically fragile children and young adults. ECC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to giving children and young adults with medical complexities a chance at a joyful, enriching future. Requirements

Valid RN license in state of DE, compact state, or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
Must have prior RN experience.
Possess special interest in working with pediatric long term care residents and children with special needs.
Ability to speak, read, and write English and to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, vendors and other staff members.

Responsibilities

Directly cares for patients with needs requiring their clinical expertise and within scope and standard of care.
Documents accurately and completely.
Advocates for residents within and outside of Exceptional Care for Children.
Provides required training to family members and/or caregivers on specific patient care goals.
Manages workflow of Staff Certified Nursing Assistant who provide care to assigned patients.
Acts as charge RN when indicated.
