About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services. The incumbent functions as a member of the Cardiovascular Service line supporting Noninvasive Cardiology in alignment with Prime Healthcare’s mission and values. Incumbent performs a range of cardiovascular procedures under limited supervision and is responsible for helping to develop and implement care plans and education to assure the smooth, efficient flow of both inpatients and outpatients as care is provided across the spectrum of Cardiovascular Service line and the hospital.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Appropriate oversight and management of patient handoffs
• Administration of medications
• Monitoring of patients during a variety of cardiovascular tests and exercise programs including but not limited to stress testing, ekg testing, and heart monitor applications.
