Registered Nurse (RN) Mom Baby 4 (PT 7p)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care in Virtua Health’s Mom Baby 4 unit in Voorhees. The RN assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care using outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the RN coordinates care and collaborates with other healthcare professionals, patients, and their families or significant others, while maintaining high standards of professional ethics. This is an on-site, part-time employee position on a 12-hour night shift, with 18 total weekly hours. Previous or current obstetric or maternal-child health experience is required. The hourly rate is $44.57–$60.44 and may vary based on experience, internal equity, and market data.
Requirements
- Previous or current obstetric or maternal-child health experience.
- Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of care providers.
- Valid New Jersey RN license; approved licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
- Must stay current with nursing practice through ongoing education, journals, and similar resources.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
- Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimens.
- Effectively manage rapidly changing situations and participate in clinical decision-making.
- Educate patients and families or responsible parties about disease processes, care needs, wellness, and safety.
- Delegate and monitor care provided by members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
- Follow standard precautions and patient safety principles.
- Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
- Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Maintain professional and departmental competencies.
