About The Position

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) to work in their Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program (PRTF) for adolescent females and males at their West Chester, PA location. The program provides clinical treatment, educational instruction, and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges and disorders. The role involves making a positive impact on the lives of young people, contributing to their growth and development. The schedule is 2pm-12am, with every 3rd weekend required. Shift differentials are provided for evening and night shifts. Comprehensive training in crisis prevention/intervention, trauma-informed care, CPR, first aid, and cultural competencies is offered. The ASCEND- Career Accelerator Program offers career guidance, coaching, skills, and financial assistance, including 100% tuition coverage and student loan repayment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D.
  • Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • One year of post-education nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions.
  • Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license must be maintained.
