About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) works in a collaborative environment at St. Mary’s Health Care System to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan, and interpreting and performing complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise. RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care. The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards. The Inpatient Rehab unit consists of private and semi-private rooms, where patients stay for up to 28 days and engage in physical/occupational therapy for up to 4 hours daily.

Requirements

  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Georgia.
  • Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
