About The Position
Our Intermediate Care Unit (Step Down Unit) RN will care for patients who are experiencing severe, but usually non-life threatening problems requiring moderately complex assessment, treatment, and interventions. You will partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. You will advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Telemetry at an acute care facility required
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be able to read and write basic English.
Nice To Haves
- Passion for Telemetry/Critical Care
- Previous Step Down Unit or Critical Care Experience preferred
