About The Position

Cohannet Academy is an Intensive Residential Treatment Program for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Cohannet provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff. In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with youth that we serve!

Requirements

• Massachusetts RN license
• COVID-19 Vaccination required.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting youth that we serve is required.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• Flexibility in shifts on holidays.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Nice To Haves

• Residential program or mental health program experience preferred
• Experience working with specialized adolescent populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Educating and providing health care services to promote healthy choices that enhances youth that we serve’ physical and mental well-being.
• Creating a safe and therapeutic community by providing oversight and attention around documenting and administering medications and completing assessments to ensure the best treatment for youth that we serve.
• Helping youth that we serve and families navigate their medical needs and help provide valuable skills to ensure the youth that we serve are successful in their next steps.
• Providing physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for youth that we serve.
