About The Position

Under the direction of the nursing leader, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical Diploma in Nursing required
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program
  • Current valid Arkansas Registered Nurse Licensure
  • BLS/CPR required prior to patient care
  • Proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
  • Proficient competency in documenting patient information accurately
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Provides compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring positive environment in the hospital
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire if applicable to the department that you will float to
  • 5+ years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting
  • Experience floating in several different department of an acute care facility
