About The Position
Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – Sunnyvale as a SEASONAL Registered Nurse | RN. This is a fast-paced environment in the Emergency Department | Emergency Room that includes high acuity patients. The leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes Adult, Pediatric, and Geriatric patients. The department has 20 beds, holds Chest Pain Accreditation and Primary Stroke Accreditation, and sees an average of 100 patients per day with around 15-20 EMS ambulances per day. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Sunnyvale is a community-based hospital offering specialties uncommon for its size, with a large footprint of outpatient services in the surrounding communities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent acute care hospital experience.
- Be available to work a minimum of 18 shifts per 6-week schedule period.
- Of the 18 shifts, 6 must be weekend shifts.
- Current full-time and part-time employees of Baylor Scott & White Sunnyvale are not eligible to participate.
- Participants are considered temporary employees without benefits.
- Staffing is based on current census and staff may be cancelled or flexed when census goes down.
- Temporary PRN staff will be cancelled before full-time and part-time regular staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality care and great service as a PRN member of the nursing staff.
- Attend mandatory in-services, meetings, and classes.
- Float as per Hospital Policy.
