Unit 4G – Cardiology is a 24-bed Cardiology Step-Down Unit with a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3. It was the first Step-Down Unit in Georgia to receive a Gold Beacon Award. The patient population includes those with advanced heart failure, Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD), Cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Dysrhythmias, Valvular Heart Disease, Congenital Heart Disease, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, Structural Heart, and Electrophysiology procedural care. Unit 7E – Cardiac is a dynamic 23-bed unit specializing in the care of patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions. Nurses on this unit care for patients with advanced heart failure, pre- and post-interventional cardiology, vasoactive drips, Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD), and pacemaker placements. The target nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3. Unit 7E holds the PRISM Award and is actively involved in clinical trials, making it an exciting environment for nurses passionate about professional growth, evidence-based practice, innovation, and advancing patient care.
