About The Position
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse for the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit. This is a night shift position with required call. The LDRP unit offers state-of-the-art care for maternity patients, including Labor and Delivery, a 24-bed post-partum mother/baby unit, and a Level 2 newborn specialty care nursery. The unit also provides post-operative care for complex GYN and Breast surgical needs. The hospital is a Magnet status facility with a strong focus on clinical quality and personalized healthcare services.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing
- Registered nursing license required
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- Strong understanding of patient safety protocols.
- Must want to work night shift
Nice To Haves
- BSN or MSN Preferred
- Experience specifically in Labor and Delivery
- EFM- Electronic Fetal monitoring preferred
- Certified Obstetrics Nursing preferred
- 2 years of acute care registered nurse experience in Women's health preferred
- Experience in charge roles preferred
- Labor and Delivery specific Experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and potentially Newborn Specialty Care Nursery.
- Manage complex cases in fast-paced environments.
- Communicate effectively with patients and providers.
- Cross-train into postpartum care.
- Provide post-operative care for complex GYN and Breast surgical needs.
