Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) current license in the state of Minnesota required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work well with team members and act as a leader for the nursing department clinical staff.
- Good communication, computer, documentation, and time management skills.
- Nursing RN assessment skills as well as procedural skills within scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Performs clinical procedures such as IV insertions, dressing changes, and other treatments within scope of practice.
- Provides patient education to support understanding of health conditions, treatments, and care plans.
- Delivers direct patient care under the direction of the provider, including chronic disease management.
- Maintains and updates accurate patient health information in the electronic health record.
- Ensures emergency equipment and clinical resources are stocked and ready to support safe, high-quality care.
- Supports provider practice by applying the nursing process and utilizing RN clinical skills.
- Manages and coordinates prescription refill processes for patients.
