This is a full-time position for a Registered Nurse in the AMG Burlington - Family Medicine department. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position requires continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, administering medications and treatments safely, demonstrating effective communication, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making is expected, along with respecting interdisciplinary roles and contributing to integrated, unbiased patient care. Appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and accurate, timely EHR documentation are also key duties. The nurse may be required to float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate age-specific competency. This is a Monday-Friday position with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends.
