Oakwood Care and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position will be open for a minimum of 3 days and will remain open until a top candidate is identified.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active CO RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient safety standards including HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients safely with equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Strong communication skills
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of experience in nursing, especially in geriatrics or long-term care is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Give prescribed medications, injections, and manage IV therapy.
- Provide wound care, perform therapeutic treatments (range-of-motion), and operate medical equipment.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans with doctors and staff.
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, therapists).
- Maintain accurate, thorough patient charts and medical records.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate, appropriate care.
- Record detailed medical histories, symptoms, and observations.
- Check vitals, observe changes in condition, and conduct regular health assessments.
