About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to provide in-home health care to energy workers. Nurses build meaningful relationships with patients and provide holistic care in patients’ homes. This role is offered as a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity, with a flexible, independent work environment. The stated pay range is USD $48.00–$50.00 per hour.

Requirements

Hold a valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
Be willing to travel to patients’ homes.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold a current BLS Certification.
Be able to pass state and federal background checks.
Have professional liability coverage.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and an empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and their families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
Coordinate schedules directly with patients in alignment with their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ symptoms or behavior.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
Communicate with Case Managers and collaborating physicians or specialists to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate patient logs in the EMR system.
Offer advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
