About The Position

The Registered Nurse on 3 West, Cardiac Vascular, is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. The role manages patient care from admission through discharge, with care appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population. The RN assesses and reassesses patients, coordinates individualized plans of care including discharge planning, and directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting. The RN delegates appropriately based on others’ job descriptions and competency levels.

This per diem position is scheduled for 0700–1930 on the day shift. Weekend and holiday requirements include one major summer holiday, one major winter holiday, and one full weekend per month. The listed hiring range is $52.50–$57.50, based on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week; compensation is adjusted for scheduled hours and may also vary with experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. A signing bonus may be available, with eligibility confirmed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification, unless the RN has current ACLS certification; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
