About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join a healthcare team in a secure correctional facility setting. The role involves delivering comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing health management.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience post-licensure
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patient health conditions
- Perform health assessments to identify new symptoms or complications
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide restorative and palliative care to patients
- Educate and counsel patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Execute medical regimens prescribed by licensed healthcare providers
- Perform EKGs and blood draws
- Maintain strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
