About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of nursing care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for appropriately delegating patient care to other members of the health care team. This is a part-time, on-site night-shift position in the Neuro ICU at Lourdes Health System.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required.
• New Jersey RN license required.
• 0–1 years of experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
• Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participate in clinical decision-making.
• Educate patients and their families or responsible parties about disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
• Delegate and monitor care provided by other members of the nursing department and health care team.
• Participate in orientation, education, and development of the health care team.
• Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain professional and departmental competencies.
