Requirements

  • RN license
  • Competent clinical skills
  • Ability to coordinate and complete patient assessment and re-assessment
  • Ability to assess barriers to learning and functional status of patient
  • Ability to coordinate, evaluate, and complete patient/family teaching
  • Ability to respond to patients/families in a courteous, positive, and timely manner

  • Responsible for phone management of patients
  • Ability to triage phone calls utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Ability to evaluate chief complaint and urgency of the problem
  • Ability to triage phone calls to determine acuity to assist in scheduling appointments
  • Ability to provide comprehensive medical record documentation
  • Ability to document all communications and maintain patient confidentiality
