About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Unit. This is a full-time night shift opportunity. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. This includes educating patients and their families on their disease process and plan of care, serving as a patient advocate, and providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. This position is designated as requiring a level II Background (A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) and will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- ACLS Required within 6 months for Adult ED’s
- PALS required within one year of hire
Responsibilities

- Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
- Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
- Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
