About The Position

Ebenezer is hiring a Registered Nurse to ensure the safety and health needs of patients in the adult long-term care center and transitional care unit at the Jones-Harrison Skilled Nursing community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The nurse works with nursing assistants and multidisciplinary departments, including housekeeping, activities, culinary, and social work, and is supported by the Nurse Leader DON and CNAs. The schedule is 48 hours every two weeks, including every other weekend and a holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Current Minnesota RN license, or obtain one by the start date.
• BLS is required upon hire. A new hire who is enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain certification must obtain BLS certification within three weeks of the hire date and before performing independent practice.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using Microsoft Windows and electronic charting systems.
• Work experience in a patient support role, as an LPN, or as an RN.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and physicians or providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor personal care to ensure consistency with each individual's care plan.
• Coordinate medications and perform treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Assess care plans and resident goals, revising or modifying them as needed.
• Provide reports and documentation related to incidents, changes in status, and care provided.
