About The Position
Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care under provider direction in a variety of clinical settings. The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patients’ actual or potential health problems in accordance with appropriate practices, standards, protocols, and guidelines. The nurse provides office-based care in collaboration with providers and works across neuromuscular and stroke specialties alongside the Stroke and Neuromuscular Nurse to provide coverage for all programs. This position reports to a Practice Manager.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN license.
- Experience with medical software.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical office setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide office-based nursing care in collaboration with providers.
- Assess patients’ physical and psychosocial needs and environmental factors affecting patients and families; formulate a nursing plan of care and ensure continuity through appropriate evaluation and intervention.
- Take independent nursing actions based on assessment and problem identification.
- Triage telephone calls and initiate appropriate nursing interventions promptly, precisely, and professionally.
- Assist patients, family members, and other clients with concern and empathy while respecting confidentiality and privacy.
- Learn both neuromuscular and stroke specialties and work alongside the Stroke and Neuromuscular Nurse to provide coverage for all programs.
