About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate, excellent treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The role is based in Erie, Pennsylvania, and the listed schedule is 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. This is a per diem position requiring a minimum of four shifts in a six-week period. The position offers an orientation program and may provide opportunities to pursue full-time employment.

Requirements

• Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
