Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis - PRN Days | Tulsa LTACH
About The Position
The Dialysis Registered Nurse works under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. The RN uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The role includes planning and coordinating patient care, interdisciplinary and discharge planning, teaching patients and families about post-hospitalization care, and accessing community resources. The nurse may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as Charge Nurse. Dialysis Nurses oversee physician-ordered dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of application.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification is required after 90 days of employment; it is required from day one for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
- ACLS certification is required to perform Charge Nurse duties.
Nice To Haves
- Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is preferred but not required.
- Current ACLS certification is preferred initially.
