About The Position

The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process in an ambulatory surgery center. The role collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to support efficient surgical operations and positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Operating room nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Serve as a circulating nurse, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques.
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Perform patient verification, surgical time-outs, positioning, and instrument counts.
• Administer medications as ordered and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support efficient room turnover and workflow.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, regulatory standards, and center policies.
• Support inventory management, cost containment, and continuous quality improvement.
