About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct care within the scope of practice. The RN guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients, communicates changes in clinical condition to physicians—including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms—and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

This is a full-time day-shift position in the Intermediate Care / Stepdown Unit at Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. The listed hourly rate is $35.35 to $53.58. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
