About The Position

Horizon Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work the night shift (7p-7a). The Registered Nurse develops, implements, evaluates, and revises a plan of care for assigned patients and their families, while upholding the hospital's mission and values. This role involves direct patient care, as well as delegating and supervising nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Key components of the role include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving the quality of care, establishing professional relationships, fulfilling hospital responsibilities, and developing clinical expertise within a specialty.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current, valid BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • English is the primary language of the facility.
  • Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
  • ACLS certification required are mandatory for charge nurses duties.
