About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Camber Children's Mental Health Hospital, Wichita KS. Camber Children’s Mental Health in Wichita is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our multidisciplinary team. In this vital role, you will provide direct care and support to children ages 6 to 18 in a safe, trauma-informed environment. Camber gives children and families hope. As an RN, you will play a key role in supporting children and families, collaborating with a team of professionals, and helping young people build resilience for a brighter future.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; certification as a Registered Nurse
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Kansas; valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

• experience working in behavioral health settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Take medication orders and supervise the dispensing of medications
• Chart and maintain accurate medical records
• Assess medical health concerns, including infection control, and ensure timely care
• Collaborate with the staff nutritionist to meet patients’ dietary needs
• Communicate with case managers or adults responsible for patients’ physical health
• Assist with injuries and accidents
• Consult with direct care staff to support patient well-being

Benefits

• Starting Pay: $32 per hour, increases based on education and experience
• $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for full-time nurses
• Shift Differentials: +$3.00/hour for weekday evenings/overnights, +$5.00/hour for weekend evenings/overnights
• Schedule: Day and overnight shifts available; 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
