About The Position
Concordia Hospice of Washington is seeking a dedicated and personable Hospice RN to join their team and provide compassionate care to patients and families during this significant time in their lives. As a Hospice RN, a crucial role is delivering personalized care that focuses on comfort and quality of life. Responsibilities include assessing and managing patient needs, providing expert symptom management, and educating and supporting families.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with experience in palliative care, hospice, or oncology.
- Adaptability, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Responsibilities
- Continuously assess the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients, developing individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments, focusing on pain management and symptom control to improve the patient's quality of life.
- Be a trusted resource for families, providing education about the disease process, care options, and end-of-life decisions, while offering emotional support.
