About The Position
This position involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for an inpatient adolescent and young adult psychiatry unit, serving patients aged 12-22. The role utilizes the nursing process for patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation. It also includes guiding unlicensed assistive personnel and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required
- Minimum 1-year current hospital nursing experience
- Previous Psych experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for an inpatient adolescent and young adult psychiatry unit, patients age 12-22
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel, such as mental health associates, in delivering psychiatric patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote a high quality patient experience
