New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, delivering individualized, age-specific, direct bedside care in alignment with the nursing process and patient needs. The role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care planning and support optimal patient outcomes. This is a new graduate opportunity in a supportive environment with structured training, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities. The position is based at Abrazo Scottsdale Campus, a full-service acute care hospital. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-volume acute care setting, with occasional periods of above-average pressure.
Requirements
- Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- BLS certification required at hire.
- ACLS certification required within 30 days.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and delegate care, using independent judgment to direct healthcare staff in providing safe, effective care.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice while supporting patient goals.
- Ensure safety guidelines and work practices are followed.
- Direct patient care and participate in hourly rounding and supervision of healthcare team members.
- Promote safe and efficient patient throughput to optimize workflow and daily operations in a procedure-driven facility.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care planning and support optimal patient outcomes.
