About The Position
Riverton Hospital, part of the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent 2.33 FTE position. This dynamic hospital has 7 acute beds and 17 RAC aged care beds, serving the local community. The role offers exposure to a variety of patient presentations, including emergency retrieval, low priority attendances, palliation, and aged care. Located in Riverton, South Australia, the position provides an engaging and fulfilling opportunity within a friendly, peaceful, and scenically beautiful country town. Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Undergo employment screening.
- Meet immunisation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of patient presentations from emergency retrieval, low priority attendances, palliation, and long term aged care.
- Develop and maintain skills in triage, acute emergency, mental health, and palliation.
- Provide nursing care in the residential aged care facility.
- Opportunity to take on additional portfolios such as blood management, palliative care, education of students, work health and safety, and infection control.
