About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Frederick A Douglass Learning Academy is a full-time role within the school district. Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal health regulations.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students.
- Manage and coordinate school health services.
- Ensure a safe and healthy school environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Respond to medical emergencies.
- Maintain student health records.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related issues.
