About The Position

The Registered Nurse assists the physician in the care and teaching of patients. The position is based at the Ocala Office. Candidates must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in their state of residence, have IV therapy experience, and hold a valid OCN certification. They must be able to assess patient needs and condition, think critically, and react calmly and effectively in emergencies. Current CPR certification is required. BLS is required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment; FCS will provide a BLS course during that period. Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is preferred. A valid driver's license is required for travel to clinics. Employment offers are contingent on a background screening. New hires must receive required vaccinations, including influenza unless an exemption is approved, and are subject to drug testing. FCS is a drug-free workplace and does not recognize medical marijuana cards.

Requirements

Registered Nurse licensed in the state of residence.
Experience in IV therapy.
Valid OCN certification.
Ability to assess patient needs and condition.
Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Current CPR certification.
BLS certification upon hire or within 30 days of employment; FCS provides a BLS course within the first 30 days.
Fluency in English.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license for travel to clinics.
Clear results of a background screening and passing drug testing as conditions of employment.
Required vaccinations, including influenza, unless an exemption is approved.
