About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides safe patient care in the Medical/Surgical Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for care delivered to assigned patients. The nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse communicates changes in a patient’s clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain certification.
Nice To Haves
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
