About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care in the ICU. The nurse delivers safe, direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and works within the scope of practice. The role includes guiding patient and family teaching and directing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care.

The nurse is accountable for the care of assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal findings, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment, while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Critical Care Course.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Critical care experience.

Responsibilities
