Registered Nurse - ICU Nights
About The Position
Registered Nurses at Centralus are key members of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to the Tompkins County community. Practicing to the full scope of their license, RNs actively contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services, collaborating with colleagues in a shared governance environment to improve patient outcomes and deliver optimal patient-centered care. This position is onsite at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, New York, and is a full-time night role consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Less than 25% travel is expected, and weekends and holidays are assigned. Cayuga Health offers competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and professional development opportunities. The standard pay rate is $39.63–$48.18 per hour, plus benefits.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Active New York State RN license.
- Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS during the introductory period.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments and develop person-centered care plans to meet complex and changing needs.
- Provide skilled, high-quality clinical care while staying current with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Use critical thinking to make sound clinical decisions, evaluate outcomes, address concerns, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Apply evidence-based practice and demonstrate accountability within the care team and healthcare system.
- Serve as a trusted clinical resource, mentor, and leader in supporting staff development and patient care excellence.
